CEO Report On Outreach Activities

From the Inside Out: A Ministry of Heart, Hands, and The Holy Spirit

"Our greatest work is not in what we build, but in the people we lift and empower. The Kingdom advances one soul at a time." - Chaplain David.

Jail Statistics and Ministry Metrics (January - September 2025)

The table below summarizes our ministry's reach and impact over the first nine months of the year, highlighting the dedication and effort of the entire CA Jail Outreach team:

Our ministry demonstrated consistent activity and impactful results between January and September. We celebrate the 44 documented Salvation Decisions and the successful engagement of 54 inmates in Discipleship Programs, showing the lasting depth of our work. Our outreach methods were robust, including 523 Emails Sent Out and 120 Video Conferences, which are crucial for extending our reach. In addition to our digital presence, our team conducted 23 Jail In-Person Visits and assisted 31 Family Visits or Help sessions.

Catchy and Inspirational Title

A National Network of Grace: Building Unity Through Prayer

"When we lift the hands that serve, we strengthen the foundation of the Church Universal, bridging gaps that divide and magnifying the message that unites." - Chaplain David.

This initiative is a cornerstone of our commitment to national church unity and encouragement:

The Vision (Why We Do It)

Every Saturday, we choose a pastor—at random from across the nation and from all kinds of church backgrounds—to lift up in prayer. Our heart is to reach beyond just our usual circles and connect with ministries of different denominations, cultures, and communities. This intentional outreach helps bridge the gap between groups and fosters unity within Christ’s larger family.

The Process (How It Works)

  1. Selection: We intentionally select pastors from a variety of church traditions and backgrounds, not just from our own network.

  2. Preparation: Before praying, our team explores their church website, learns about their ministry, and watches an online service to understand their unique heart and approach.

  3. Outreach: On the following Tuesday, we will send a personal email to the pastor. We share that our team prayed for them and their church, and we highlight something specific we enjoyed about their website or service.

  4. Intent: Crucially, we state our purpose is simply to encourage and support—never to ask for financial or material help.

The Goal and Impact

We want pastors everywhere to know that someone cares for and prays with them, regardless of their denomination, size, or location. Our goal is to strengthen unity across the body of Christ and be a blessing—one church at a time. Many pastors respond with appreciation (as seen in the encouraging response from Lead Pastor Ricky Flack of Welcome Home Christian Church), and these gracious moments foster new connections.

What We Did Right: Strengths and Successes

  • Growing Discipleship Impact: The significant number of inmates in our Discipleship Programs (54 total) demonstrates the lasting impact of our ministry. The recent letter from Meridith House requesting additional materials validates the value of the "Continue discipleship workbook" and related resources.

  • Encouraging National Unity: As detailed above, the National Saturday Prayer for Random Pastors program continues to successfully build bridges and encourage ministers across the country, fostering goodwill without financial solicitation.

  • Effective Cost Management and Operational Improvement: We successfully transitioned our organization's contact numbers to a new, reliable system, ensuring critical communication with correctional facilities. The new setup—featuring an AI Receptionist and seamless call forwarding to the on-call chaplain—is a highly effective solution that saves the organization money while resolving the previous issue of the provider rejecting prison calls as spam and failing to transfer them.

Areas for Improvement and Focus

  • Phone System Transition: While the new system is a positive change, we must ensure all contacts and promotional materials are updated with the latest numbers: 530-661-8360 (Office) and 530-720-5602 (Text only).

  • Resource Distribution to Inmates: The request from Meridith House highlights a critical logistical challenge: ensuring resources reach inmates when letters must be scanned through an outside facility. We need to formalize a process to efficiently send discipline books and Bible studies to outside mailing facilities (as required by the system) to meet the demand.

  • Consistency in In-Person Ministry: The data shows a drop-off in Jail In-Person Visits in July and August (0.00 each month). We must assess any barriers to in-person visitation and prioritize this direct form of ministry as circumstances allow, balancing it with our effective digital outreach.

New Contact Information

Please note and utilize our new, reliable contact numbers:

  • Office Number: 530-661-8360 (Features AI Reception and real-person overflow)

  • Text Number (only): 530-720-5602

The new system is designed to provide better support for calls from correctional facilities and ensure more direct contact with the on-call chaplain.

I am available to answer any questions you may have regarding this report or the operational changes it outlines. Thank you for your continued support and prayers for this vital ministry.
